Hi, I'm Mercedes! I'm a sweet young girl with a curious nature, although I can be a little timid when meeting new people. I love spending my days exploring my cat room and keeping a close eye on the world outside from the window.

Every morning, I'll happily greet you in my own unique way—with a little hiss! It's just my way of saying hello while I'm still learning that people can be trusted. With patience and kindness, I'm becoming more confident every single day.

Companions (Children, Cats & Dogs)
I enjoy gentle interaction with the adult children in my foster home and am happiest in a calm environment.

I haven't lived with other cats or dogs, so I'd prefer to be your one and only furry companion where I can continue building my confidence at my own pace.

Likes / Dislikes
One of my absolute favourite things is a really good scratch under my neck and around my ears—but I much prefer it with a stick or back scratcher! It helps me feel safe while I'm learning to trust.

I'm a playful girl who loves toys, especially ribbons, and I could spend hours birdwatching from the window. When I see birds, I get so excited that my teeth chatter! It's one of my cutest little quirks.

Because I'm still a little unsure around people, I may swipe if someone gets too close or moves too quickly into my space. I just need someone who understands my boundaries and will let me build trust in my own time.

My PURR-fect home would be with someone who will continue the wonderful work my foster carer has started. I need a patient, understanding person who will give me the time, space, and encouragement to keep growing into the confident cat I'm becoming. Watching my personality blossom will be incredibly rewarding for the right person.
