About Sassy
Please only apply for this greyhound if you have:
- a quiet home where you are at home more than out
- can live solo, but ideally a medium/large doggie companion to keep Sassy company
- children over 10 years
Hello my name is Sassy and I'm looking for my Forever Home!
While I have lots of love to share, I'm a sensitive soul and need someone who will give me time to get to know and trust them. π
My Foster Carers tell me I'm a Black Beauty and that I'm very well behaved. They know my name is Sassy but they call me their Little Sweetheart. It's kind of nice, especially when they cuddle and kiss me. In return I give them little licks. I love seeing how happy this makes them. π
You should see how excited they get when they come home and I'm standing at the gate wagging my tail.
They have been very kind to me and I love them lots. π When I was too scared to come inside and every noise made me jump, they just gave me time and reassured me that there was nothing to be frightened of.
They even made me a special bed in a quiet corner of their living room. How good is that? Whenever I get scared I go there and snuggle down until I get brave enough to come out. π
Since being in their care I have lived with other Foster greyhounds and on my own.
I have learnt to ask to go outside to toilet. This always makes my Foster Mum very happy. She tells me I'm wonderful because I've never had an accident inside. π
I also know to sleep in my bed and not on their furniture. When the other Foster dog jumped up on their couch and I stayed in my bed they couldn't stop hugging me.
It's funny how little things like this pleases them. π
I've also learnt to go for walks around the lake. At first I had another Foster greyhound to walk with, but she got adopted.
Now I wasn't happy about this and I decided that I was going to stay at home and sulk. π’
But with lots of encouragement I agreed to give it a go on my own. π
Now I love it because I get all their attention and they give me treats when we go out for coffee afterwards. πΎβοΈπΎ
Being an only dog has lots of pluses like. There's more room for me to spread out in their car. Not to mention everything now is all about me. π
I would prefer a quiet home where the Humans are around a lot of the time to shower me with love and attention.
So my question for you is
Are you prepared to give me time to learn to trust you?
Because if you are, I promise to be the bestest little girl you could ever wish for.
