Bertha is a beautiful young mum with a gentle heart and a quiet nature. After lovingly raising her three boys, she's now ready for a forever home where she can finally enjoy being cared for herself. Life has been all about her kittens until now, and it's Bertha's turn to discover what it feels like to simply relax, be loved, and settle into a peaceful home.
A true quiet observer, Bertha prefers to take her time getting to know new people and surroundings. She is slowly coming out of her shell and, with every passing day, her sweet personality shines a little brighter. While she may be reserved at first, she already enjoys gentle pats and body strokes, and there's a lovely sense that she's learning just how nice affection can be.
One thing Bertha is never shy about is her love of food! Mealtimes are definitely one of her favourite parts of the day, and tasty treats are a wonderful way to build her confidence and strengthen the bond you'll share together.
At the moment, loud noises and sudden movements can make Bertha feel unsure, so she would thrive in a calm, patient home where she can settle in at her own pace. She'll also appreciate having cosy hideaways where she can retreat whenever she needs a little quiet time before returning to join you.
After spending so much of her life caring for her kittens, Bertha hasn't quite rediscovered the joy of playtime yet. Right now, she's much happier enjoying a peaceful nap, a gentle pat, or a good meal. Adoption details
Our adoption process is as follows:
1. Submit an adoption application via our website at www.rescuecatsofmelbourne.com.au/adopt
2. We will be in touch with you within 48 hours if we wish to progress your application.
3. A meet and greet will then be organised so that you can meet your potential new family member!
4. Upon a successful meet and greet, an adoption day will be set for you to come and collect your new family member and sign all required paperwork
All of our cats come de-sexed, vaccinated, microchipped, flea treated, worm treated and with a clean bill of health.
Our 10-Day Health Guarantee: We want you to feel confident in your new family member’s health. We offer a 10-day cooling-off period specifically for health-related concerns. If your kitten shows signs of a pre-existing illness (such as a respiratory infection or parasite) within the first 10 days of arriving home, please contact us immediately. During this window, you have the option to return the kitten for a full refund or work with our rescue team to ensure the kitten receives the necessary care. We are committed to transparency and the wellbeing of our cats.
