About Pumpkin
Pumpkin is a female Domestic Medium Hair cat available for adoption in Fig Tree Pocket (Brisbane, QLD).
Pumpkin is the cat who chooses her people and then stays chosen. Once you're family, you're family, and she'll spend her days somewhere near you to prove it.
She's independent enough to keep her own routes through the house and affectionate enough to end up wherever you've finally sat down.
With new people, she takes a considered approach, reading the room from a comfortable spot first. Give her that window, and you'll find she comes forward on her own.
A little about Pumpkin:
🐾 Adores being wherever the household is, room by room
🐾 Loves a familiar lap and the sound of a familiar voice
🐾 Big fan of a quiet vantage point when the house gets busy
🐾 Lights up when her people come back through the door
🐾 Loves being the only pet, where all that attachment has room to land
Pumpkin's days are built around company. Mornings find her close by while the house wakes up, and she'll follow the activity into whichever room it moves to.
Afternoons are for a warm surface and a long stretch of quiet. Evenings bring her back to whoever has settled first.
There's a micro-moment her family knows well: the soft arrival at your side, no announcement, just the decision to be there.
Her affection is steady rather than showy. A seat chosen next to yours. A brush past your leg on the way through. The same spot returned to night after night.
These are the habits of a cat who has made up her mind about you.
Visitors get her considered version. She'll watch from somewhere she feels settled, and there's nothing sharp in it, just a cat deciding in her own time.
Pumpkin would flourish as the one and only in a home with a predictable shape to its day.
A household with someone in and out through the day gives her exactly what she's after, because proximity is her favourite thing in the world.
She'll suit a guardian who enjoys a cat with a clear favourite-person list and finds quiet, loyal devotion genuinely rewarding.
Give her a calm space of her own to land in, and you'll find she claims it. The rest follows from there.
Life with Pumpkin looks like her padding into the kitchen to check what you're doing, then folding herself onto the nearest warm surface within arm's reach of you.
Pumpkin is that cat. The one who finds your room, keeps you company through the ordinary hours, and settles in close when the day is done.
FAQ
Can Pumpkin live with other pets? She'd be happiest as the only pet, where all that attachment has somewhere to go.
How is she with visitors? Give her a moment to read the room from a comfortable spot, and you'll find she comes forward on her own.
Is she affectionate? Very. With her people, she's rarely more than a room away, and she'll take the seat closest to yours.
Does she have any care needs? Just one chipped canine tooth her vet is keeping an eye on. Nothing needs doing right now, and her full history comes with her.
Medical notes
Pumpkin is in good general health; she has a fracture to the tip of one canine tooth. Her vet has recommended monitoring it for now, with surgery a possibility further down the track rather than a current need.
Her complete patient history is on file and ready to share with her new guardian's veterinary team.

Adoption details
When enquiring about a pet listed with Home2Home, your enquiry goes directly to the pet’s guardian—the person who knows them best!
From here, the guardian will be in touch to learn more about you and chat with you about their pet. It’s a great opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have about the pet, including its likes and dislikes, needs, and how it may fit into your lifestyle and family.
If your home and lifestyle match the pet's needs, the next step will be arranging a meet-and-greet to make sure everyone is happy to proceed with a formal adoption.
Following the adoption, change of ownership paperwork will be completed, and proof of vaccination, microchipping, and desexing (if applicable, as indicated on the listing) will be provided.
All pets adopted through Home2Home will require an adoption contract to be signed and an adoption fee to be paid. The pet’s guardian will complete the adoption contract with you and provide a link to PetRescue’s secure payment portal for completing the adoption fee payment.
Home2Home currently operates a ‘pay what you choose’ system for cat adoption fees. This means that adopters will be able to choose an adoption fee amount that is suitable for them. All adoption fees are used to support PetRescue's life-saving programs, including Home2Home.
