About Possum
If you’re looking for a tiny companion with a gentle heart, meet Possum.
Professional sunbeam catcher, back yard explorer, and faux fur blanky connoisseur. Possum is a sweet little girl who values the finer things in life.
While some kittens run on pure chaotic energy, Possum prefers a calmer rhythm. She’s a quiet, sensitive soul who loves nothing more than curling up for a long nap in a cozy drawer full of soft shirts, or in a patch of sunshine. When you pick her up, she relaxes contentedly in your arms and will stay there until you put her down.
Don't let her gentle nature fool you, though. She has an adventurous, curious spirit! When she steps into the back yard, she’s a brave little lioness prowling her very own savannah. She brings the perfect mix of quiet affection, playful wonder, and peaceful vibes to every room she enters.
If you need a calm, loving companion to slow down, snuggle, and enjoy the day with, Possum is your girl!
Medical notes
Possum has the early stages of stomatitis. She's currently being treated with antibiotics. Once she is close to 3 kg, the required weight, she will receive treatment with a new medication in Australia called EIDD.
Possum will require regular dental cleaning to prevent the growth of plaque. This has to be a commitment by her human parent, as stomatitis can worsen without care.
Treatment so far, to heal stomatitis, has been to extract all the teeth. We are hoping that the new EIDD medication will be effective for Possum and that she can keep her teeth.

Adoption details
All potential foster carers and adopters will be required to complete a pre-screening questionnaire. My Local Catmmunity Reserves the right to decline any applications.
