Meet Walter! 🩶
Walter is the kind of cat who quietly steals your heart — and we’re really hoping someone gives this gorgeous boy the chance he deserves. 🥺🐾
When Walter first arrived at the pound, he was very shut down. His first week was a little heartbreaking as he struggled to show us the sweet cat we knew was hiding underneath it all. But oh, how things have changed! 💛
Walter has completely come out of his shell and is now showing us his true personality: super social, incredibly affectionate, beautifully well-behaved and an absolute smooch! He adores people and loves being close to them, happily soaking up attention and making sure you know just how grateful he is to have company.
At 2 years old, Walter is playful without being overwhelming, clean, gentle and easy to have around. He has proven to be wonderful with other cats and genuinely seems to enjoy having feline friends around. He has also been doing well around our friendly pound dogs, making him a lovely adaptable boy who could fit into a variety of homes.
And yet, despite all of this, Walter hasn't had a single meet-and-greet. 💔
It's so hard watching such a sweet, affectionate boy wait when he's ready to give someone so much love. He doesn't need a complicated home — he just needs someone to notice him, choose him and give him the forever family he's been waiting for.
Walter could happily live as your one-and-only if you're looking for a devoted companion, or he could share his home with another friendly cat. He's adaptable, social and would be happy in just about any loving home where he can be part of the family.

Adoption fee: $185
The adoption fee includes desexing, F3 vaccination, microchipping, worming, flea treatment and NSW registration, with 100% of the adoption fee going directly to Queanbeyan Animal Management Facility.

Adoption details
Call Queanbeyan Council on 1300 735 025 to be transferred through to an Animal care Officer that works at the facility. The animal care officer will take your details, send you an application form and if suitable make contact to book in a meet and greet at the facility with the desired pet.
Adoption fee cost:
When you purchase the animal they will either be desexed or the cost of desexing will be included in the fee. You will receive a voucher to take to a local vet to have the animal operated on. All animals adopted from our animal management facility receive free lifetime registration in NSW.
