Meet Benjamin! or Ben, as we lovingly call him here at the Home! At just 8 months old, this sweet German Shepherd boy is still very much a baby and is searching for a fresh start with a devoted forever family. Ben was found as a stray, and sadly, no one ever came forward to claim him. Because he is so young, he truly needs a home that can offer him the ultimate love, safety, and security to help him feel grounded and confident during this crucial stage of his life.

Ben is in really good general health and is ready to take on the world, though he hasn't had much structure or formal training in his past. He will need patient owners who are ready to offer gentle guidance and consistent routines to help him become the best puppy he can be. True to his German Shepherd roots, Ben is bright, attentive, and responds exceptionally well to cues and treats, which will make training sessions a fun and rewarding experience for everyone involved.

This handsome pup would be a wonderful fit for a home with secondary school-aged children and older who can actively participate in his positive reinforcement training. He may also be suitable to live with another friendly dog, pending a successful meet-and-greet at the shelter.
