Pixie is an outgoing, confident little firecracker with a huge personality packed into a tiny body. She's the kind of dog who tackles life at full speed and believes every day should be spent playing, exploring and being involved in absolutely everything you're doing.
Living with Pixie is a bit like inviting a live pinball into your house. Up, down, around, outside, inside... then back again! She's endlessly curious, always wants to know what you're up to, and has no concept of doing anything at half pace.
Pixie was surrendered to Off The Chain K9 Rescue through no fault of her own. Her previous owner simply wasn't in a position to give her the time and attention she deserved. She has been loved, and now she's looking for a family who can give her the active, engaged lifestyle she's been missing.
She would suit a home that enjoys an interactive dog who wants to be part of the action. Whether it's walks, games, adventures or simply following you from room to room supervising your every move, Pixie is happiest when she's included.
If you're after a sweet, cheeky little companion with endless enthusiasm, plenty of laughs and enough personality for three dogs, Pixie might just be your perfect match.

Medical notes
Pixie had a small 'cherry eye' which is a prolapse of the gland of the third eyelid when she arrived, which you will see in her photos. This is being removed on 31st July 2026.
Adoption details
Before applying, you should have the following already confirmed:
1. Real estate approval (if renting)
2. A rates notice as proof of home ownership (if owner)
3. Secure, suitable fencing and outdoor shelter
4. Ability to meet the pet’s dietary needs (breed size, age, medical requirements)
5. Capacity to provide appropriate enrichment, exercise, and training
To apply, you must complete the OTC Adoption Application. This form is an expression of interest only and is not a contract. The application takes approximately 15 minutes to complete. Some applicants may take more or less time. This timeframe gives an indication of the level of detail required at the initial screening stage.
We do not approve meet-and-greets without a completed and approved application. Applications must be completed in full; incomplete applications will not be followed up. Required photos of yard and fencing must be provided within 48 hours or the application will not proceed. Photos may be sent via our Facebook page or emailed to offthechaink9rescue@outlook.com.
Due to the volume of behind-the-scenes work, we are not always able to contact applicants whose application is not a suitable match for the pet they have applied for, however we do endeavour to do so where possible. You are welcome to request an update or outcome at any time via email or our facebook page inbox and we will respond as soon as we can.

Transport Information
1. Transport is considered only after an adoption application has been submitted. Please apply before sourcing transport to avoid unnecessary arrangements and delays if you are not approved.
2. Submit an adoption application as outlined above.
3. Obtain transport quotes and select your preferred provider. We recommend Aeropets, Jetpets, Dogtainers, or Pet Waggin for road transport.
4. Advise us via email or Facebook message that you have applied and are beginning the transport sourcing process. This is a good time to advise any additional details, such as holding periods or limited departure days.
5. If your adoption application and transport plans are proceeding, we will coordinate departure, fit-to-fly/road requirements, food delivery, and any other necessary elements with you.
6. Adoption contracts, adoption fees, and photo ID must be submitted before the animal is released to transport.
7. Transport approval is subject to the individual animal’s suitability for travel and the standard of care provided by the selected transport company. Not all animals will be approved for transport. If an animal is not suitable to travel, this will be clearly stated on their adoption profile.
