🧡 Tod is finally ready to find his forever family!🧡

We’ve been waiting a long time to share this post.

Tod came into foster care back in March, when he was just 10 days old with his brother, Copper. They were tiny little babies who needed around-the-clock care. Then, at only 9 weeks old, both boys became critically ill with pneumonia. Despite everything we tried, we sadly lost Copper.

Tod wasn’t ready to give up.

After weeks of antibiotics, regular chest X-rays and more than a month of continued monitoring, he’s finally been given the all-clear. He’s now healthy, happy, has completed all of his vet work, and is ready to find the family he’s waited so long for!

One thing we’ve learnt about Tod is that he absolutely loves other cats. They help him feel safe, give him confidence and are always up for a game, so we’re hoping for a home with a playful, healthy, fully vaccinated adult cat who’ll happily take him under their wing. However Tod is also incredibly curious around our 3 large dogs and loves chasing them through the door and windows so we believe he would fit in with a family that has existing cat friendly dogs as well.

He’s affectionate, cheeky, curious and has the sweetest little personality. He’s the kind of kitten who quickly becomes part of the family.

A quick note about FCV…

We believe Tod’s pneumonia was caused by feline calicivirus (FCV). We know that can put some people off, but we’d really encourage you to chat with us before ruling him out.

FCV is a very common virus, especially in rescue. Many cats recover completely and live long, healthy lives. Tod has also lived safely with several fully vaccinated adult cats in foster care without any issues.

We’re more than happy to answer any questions about FCV so you can decide whether Tod is the right fit for your family.

Tod has already overcome more in his first four months than most cats ever will. Now all he needs is someone willing to give him the chance he deserves.

Tod is a 4 month old, Male Domestic Short Hair and he is desexed, fully vaccinated, microchipped, flea & worm treated AND lifetime council registration is all included in his adoption fee of $300
