About Darwin
Darwin is a 6-year-old Harrier with a sweet, independent nature and a love for exploring the world through her nose. She enjoys going for walks and sniffing adventures, and she's a clever girl who knows a variety of cues including sit, drop, shake, roll over and heel. Darwin is looking for a patient and understanding home where she can settle in at her own pace and build confidence with a consistent routine. She enjoys gentle, respectful interactions and would benefit from a family who can support her with ongoing training and helping her feel comfortable when left alone. Darwin has shown appropriate social skills with other dogs and can live with children over the age of 10, pending a successful meet and greet. If you're looking for a loyal companion who enjoys the simple things in life, Darwin could be the perfect match.
Adoption details
Our adoption process is designed to match you with the right pet, the first time. Our team are experts at rehoming animals who have specific needs that match your lifestyle, to ensure every adoption placement will last a lifetime.
At our Peninsula site, adoption hours are 12pm – 4pm. You are welcome to attend our reception office without an appointment to begin our adoption process during adoption hours.
The adoption areas are not free to walk through, and you will need to chat with our staff to confirm that a potential adoption is a good match.
Once the adoption has been discussed, a staff member will facilitate a walk-through of the adoption areas or have an animal brought to you in a greeting area.
