I am a very unique & one of a kind girl. My breed listed is just a guess.
I am not a small lady weighing in at 28kg!

My Ideal Home:
• Previous experience with long spined/short leg breeds will be beneficial.
• I will require a family who will happily manage my breed related medical conditions as I age & they arise.
• I'll need regular exercise - walks, park or beach trips, and playtime in the backyard will keep me happy and healthy. These will need to be kept short & sweet as I am not built for stamina
• I want to be part of the family indoors - not left outside without interaction.
• Secure fencing to ensure that I am always safe & sound
• Most importantly, I'm looking for lots of love and attention from my family.
• When I get excited I can be bouncy, so any children in the home would need to feel comfortable and confident around an energetic, enthusiastic dog joining the family.
• I am very dog social - I'd love a friendly dog playmate - or, if I'm your only dog, regular opportunities to socialise with other dogs. I LOVE to play with other dogs however they must not be to full on or rough to prevent injuring my looooooong spine & itty bitty wonky legs. Alternatively a home without little fragile dogs may be best too as I am quite exuberant and I would hate to accidently jump on and hurt one.
• With a slow and thoughtful introduction, I may be able to live with a dog friendly cat.
• I was very skinny when I first arrived at the shelter, I am almost back to an optimum weight however my new family will need to keep me at a lean weight to help prevent extra strain on my spine & joints.
• A one of a kind darling lady that deserves to be loved, treated & paraded like royalty <3

• I'm very social and happy to hang out with other friendly dogs - total social butterfly!
• I will sit when asked
• I absolutely love attention, cuddles, hugs, kisses, head scratches, ear rubs and I'm quite partial to snoozing on the couch with my humans.
• I'm exuberant and full of beans
• Long noodle of perfection

Training & Support Needs:
• I can be bouncy when excited, this would be best to deter to prevent further strain on my legs & spine.

Please Note: You'll only be able to meet Duffy if your application is approved. Successful applicants will be invited to the shelter for a meet-and-greet, and any dogs currently in the home must attend as well
