About Barney
Meet Barney, he is a loveable boy who has a knack for turning ordinary days into delightful adventures.
Barney is friendly and loves his people, although can be a little shy around new people. He loves car trips and will happily travel with you, he may need slow introductions to new environments but he is always up for quality bonding time.
Barney is ok with cats and female dogs – he could not be rehomed with another male dog and does not like sharing his space with them. He would also be ok as an only dog with someone home more often than not.
In Barney's foster home is crate trained and knows when it's bedtime, tucking himself in when he's ready for some rest. Barney sometimes marks (urinates in side) and this will need to be managed until he understands to toilet outside, we can help with a management plan but belly bands (male dog nappies) and crating when not supervised are two useful strategies.
Barney walks well on a lead but can get excited when he sees small animals like birds possums. He will need some training to help be a well mannered pup.
He enjoys zoomies in the yard and then will happily sit down on the couch and watch a movie with you. Barney thrives on a mix of play and rest, bringing joy to every moment.
If you're seeking a companion who blends sweetness with a dash of playfulness, look no further. Barney is eager to fill your days with heartwarming affection and companionship. He awaiting for his new family with whom he can share his vibrant spirit and boundless love.

Adoption details
Please note- we do not work on a first in best dressed basis. We assess all applications to choose the home that we believe will best match the animals needs.
If you believe one of our animals would be a good match for your home, please send us a detailed email with some information about the people and any other animals in your home, as well as the type of lifestyle you can offer a new rescue pet.
We are volunteers who run the rescue around families, paid employment and other commitments so your patience is appreciated.
We do require you to travel to meet the animal you are looking to adopt. For dog adoptions, any other dogs in your home must attend the meet and greet, this enables us to assess their compatibility and helps prevent them being returned and creating more confusion/insecurities for the foster animal.
We reserve the right to refuse the adoption if we don't believe it's a good match for our animals.
All our animals are available for a fully refundable 2 week trial period. If you ever find yourself unable to care for, or keep your pet, please contact us and they will come back into our care, or we will do our best to assist you in finding them a suitable new home, this is a condition that you agree to when signing our Adoption Agreement.
