Meet Ike, a gentle giant with an even bigger heart. At just three years old, this handsome boy is discovering how wonderful life as a much-loved pet can be. While some parts of the world are still new to him, Ike approaches life with a sweet, thoughtful nature and a quiet willingness to learn. His favourite place is wherever his people are, leaning in for cuddles and soaking up affection.

Ike is an easy companion around the home. He has quickly mastered stairs, is beautifully house-trained, and happily settles for a relaxing day indoors while you're at work. He isn't one for backyard zoomies or endless games just yet—instead, he's perfectly content with a comfy bed, a tasty chew, and a peaceful afternoon nap. Mealtimes are taken at his own pace, often enjoying a little snack before returning later to finish the rest. He also travels beautifully in the car, quietly lying down and enjoying the ride.

Outside, Ike is continuing to discover the world around him. Like many greyhounds transitioning into pet life, he's still gaining experience with everyday sights and sounds. Passing bikes pique his curiosity, while unexpected loud noises can occasionally make him pause for reassurance. With a calm, patient owner and a consistent routine, Ike is already showing that he's happy to learn and grows more confident with each new experience.

Ike would be equally happy in a house or an apartment, provided he enjoys regular walks and has plenty of opportunities to relax with his favourite chew treats afterwards. He has shown lovely promise around cats in foster care and may be suitable for a home with feline friends following appropriate introductions. While he hasn't yet been assessed with children or smaller dogs, his calm and gentle temperament provides a wonderful foundation.
