Meet Roman – a loyal, loving best friend looking for his forever home

Roman is a handsome one-year-old Kelpie x Cattle Dog with a wonderful temperament and so much love to give. He has grown up as a much-loved family dog, enjoying beach walks, park adventures and life alongside a young family.

Roman is a clever boy who has already had a great start to his training. He has lovely manners, knows how to sit and lie down, waits patiently for his meals, waits at the roadside before crossing, and loves a game of fetch. Like any young dog, he is still learning and will benefit from continued training, but he is eager to please, highly intelligent and learns quickly.

One of Roman's greatest strengths is his gentle nature. He has lived with a baby since infancy and has been incredibly kind and patient. He is fantastic with children, loves people and enjoys meeting and playing with other dogs every day at the beach and dog park. He has also been around chickens without any issues.

Roman is affectionate, loyal and happiest when included in family life. He isn't a dog who wants to be left in the backyard all day – he thrives on companionship, exercise and spending time with his people. An active family, rural property or home where he can join in on adventures would suit him perfectly.

Sadly, Roman is looking for a new home through no fault of his own. His older resident dog has become increasingly aggressive towards him, and despite Roman's gentle and respectful nature, his owners have made the heartbreaking decision to find him a home where he can enjoy the happy, stable life he deserves.
