About Bindi
Hello there! I’m Bindi, and I’m officially accepting applications for my forever family.
APPLICATION PROCESS APPLIES FOR BINDI
PLEASE COMPLETE THE BELOW APPLICATION FORM

My Ideal Home:
• Familiarity and understanding of my breed traits would be highly valued.
• I’ll need daily exercise — walks, park or beach trips, and playtime in the backyard will keep me happy and healthy.
• Ongoing training and guidance with basic manners will help me grow into a well-behaved companion.
• I want to be part of the family indoors — not left outside without interaction.
• Secure fencing (6ft Colorbond or equivalent) is essential to keep me safe.
• I’d love plenty of toys and mental enrichment to keep my busy mind occupied - especially tennis balls!!
• A good-quality dry food diet will help support my dental health.
• Most importantly, I’m looking for lots of love and attention from my family.
• I have previously lived with kids aged 8 and above.
• When I get excited, I can be a little bouncy and mouthy, so any children in the home would need to feel comfortable and confident around an energetic, enthusiastic dog joining the family.
• As an active breed, I have lots of energy, so I’ll need an active family who can keep up with me.
• Training, training, training — it’s essential that I receive consistent guidance in every aspect of my life so I can become the very best companion.
• I’d love a friendly dog playmate, a submissive canine companion would suit me well - or if I’m your only dog, regular opportunities to socialise with other dogs.
• With a slow and thoughtful introduction, I may be able to live with a cat - I previously lived with a very gentle cat.
My Paw-some Perks:
• I'm crate trained and used to sleeping in one of a night.
• I’m a very playful, happy pup with the cutest little wiggle-butt when I’m excited.
• I’m highly food motivated, which makes training lots of fun and helps me learn quickly.
• I’ve had very little basic obedience training, but I’m generally a well-mannered dog. I know my basic commands like sit, shake and stay, and I’m always eager to learn more.
• I appear housetrained and am used to being allowed indoors as part of the family
• I absolutely love attention, cuddles, hugs, kisses and head scratches, and I’m quite partial to snoozing on the couch with my humans.
• I LOVE toys — especially my ball! Fetch and tug-of-war are some of my favourite games.
• I’m exuberant and full of beans, always ready for fun and adventure.
Training/Support Needs:
• Bindi would jump 5ft fences when alone in her previous home, she is best suited to have a secure indoor routine if she's left alone.
• Once I’m settled, I can walk nicely, but I may pull if something grabs my attention or if I decide I’d like to head in a different direction. I can also be strong or a bit skittish if startled, so a harness or head halter would really help while I continue my training.
• My recall needs work, as I can sometimes ignore you if I’m distracted — this is something we’ll need to practice together.
Please Note: You’ll only be able to meet Bindi if your application is approved. Successful applicants will be invited to the shelter for a meet-and-greet, and any dogs currently in the home must attend as well
If you have any existing dogs at home, they will also need to come to the shelter to meet Bindi prior to adoption approval, to ensure everyone is a good match.
