About Randall
Meet Randall, a brilliant, energetic boy with a personality as big as his drive. As a Border Collie cross, Randall is hardwired to work, think, and move, and he thrives when his mind and body are given a real outlet. He'll shine in a home that understands the breed and is ready to invest in him, whether that's through scent work, agility, trick training, fetch sessions, or structured enrichment. Without that genetic fulfilment, Randall will simply find his own (less welcome) ways to stay busy. The right owner won't just be exercising a dog, they'll be partnering with one.
Randall needs an experienced dog owner who truly understands high-drive behaviour and can advocate for him confidently. He is not suited to living with other dogs. While he can manage in certain controlled environments, Randall tends to be rude at a distance; he can be reactive and overbearing, and this is something his new family will need to acknowledge, actively manage, and continue working on with patience and consistency. This isn't a dealbreaker, it's just part of who he is, and the right person will embrace that challenge rather than be caught off guard by it.
Randall is also not a match for a home with cats or small animals. He absolutely adores people and loves interactive play, but his enthusiastic play style can become quite mouthy when he's excited. For this reason, Randall is best suited to an adult-only home where his playfulness can be enjoyed and managed appropriately. In the right home, he'll be an incredibly fun, loyal, and entertaining companion.
If you're an experienced handler looking for a smart, devoted, and driven dog to train alongside and build a real relationship with, Randall could be exactly who you've been waiting for. He has so much to give, he just needs someone who truly gets him.
