Chester thrives with structure and consistency, and his eagerness to learn means he responds brilliantly when given clear guidance and positive reinforcement. Ongoing training will be key to helping him be his best self, and an owner who enjoys that process will find Chester an incredibly willing partner.

Life with Chester is never boring. He is a self-declared zoomies enthusiast, loves charging around with his favourite toys, and brings a joyful, goofy energy to playtime that is truly infectious. However, Chester can become overaroused, and that excitement can quickly tip over if not managed well. For this reason, he needs an adult-only home with experienced dog owners who can read his cues, set boundaries calmly, and help him settle. Once the zoomies are done and the world slows down, Chester transforms into the most affectionate, snuggly boy who just wants to be close to his people.

Chester is currently best placed as an only dog. He is a work in progress around other dogs, and his new family will need to continue that journey with him patiently and consistently. He is not yet reliable in those situations, but with the right support and a handler who understands canine behaviour, there is plenty of room for growth. This is a dog who will reward every bit of effort you put in, tenfold.
