About Marmee
Meet Marmee! Initially extremely fearful of people and unfamiliar home environments, she gradually developed trust through a predictable routine and patient, choice-based interactions. She is now a playful, intelligent and affectionate companion who enjoys following her carers, sitting on laps and interacting with people when given the choice. She remains uncomfortable with being picked up or restrained and benefits from having her preferences respected. Continued patience, allowing her to settle into a consistent routine and positive reinforcement will help her continue to thrive in her new home.
Adoption details
Our adoption process is designed to match you with the right pet, the first time. Our team are experts at rehoming animals who have specific needs that match your lifestyle, to ensure every adoption placement will last a lifetime.
At our Peninsula site, adoption hours are 12pm – 4pm. You are welcome to attend our reception office without an appointment to begin our adoption process during adoption hours.
The adoption areas are not free to walk through, and you will need to chat with our staff to confirm that a potential adoption is a good match.
Once the adoption has been discussed, a staff member will facilitate a walk-through of the adoption areas or have an animal brought to you in a greeting area.
