About Marmee
Meet Marrmee!
Marmee is a playful and affectionate girl who has come a long way since arriving in care. Initially very fearful of people and unfamiliar environments, she has gained confidence through patience, a predictable routine and choice-based interactions.
She now enjoys following her carers, sitting on laps and spending time with people when she feels comfortable. Marmee does have a sensitive side and is not comfortable being picked up or restrained, so she does best when her boundaries and choices are respected.
With patience, consistency and positive reinforcement, Marmee will continue to build her confidence and make a lovely companion for someone who understands her needs. Marmee would do best as a solo pet in the household
Adoption details
Our adoption process is designed to match you with the right pet, the first time. Our team are experts at rehoming animals who have specific needs that match your lifestyle, to ensure every adoption placement will last a lifetime.
At our Peninsula site, adoption hours are 12pm – 4pm. You are welcome to attend our reception office without an appointment to begin our adoption process during adoption hours.
The adoption areas are not free to walk through, and you will need to chat with our staff to confirm that a potential adoption is a good match.
Once the adoption has been discussed, a staff member will facilitate a walk-through of the adoption areas or have an animal brought to you in a greeting area.
