About Chanel
Chanel is a very gentle, sweet and loving girl, who thrives on attention and is prone to give gentle kisses at every opportunity. Chanel is a true shadow, or velcro dog .. She will follow you everywhere, supervise you and get involved, or have a sticky nose into everything you do .. She is happy gal and doesn’t seem bothered by loud noises, such as the vacuum ..
Chanel is happy to play on her own, loving a squeaky toy and throwing it around … She prone to empty the toy box to find that perfect squeak that fits her mood, but nothing beats a laze in the sun whether it be in her bed, or outside.
Chanel loves a backyard to do her occasional zoomie and throw toys around … Chanel has not dug in the backyard at all, even when she is following you around, right beside you while you potter around or out there on her own ..
When out on walks, Chanel is excellent on the lead .She needs time to sniff all the smells of the outside world, dawdles along and enjoys short walks .. Chanel is definitely not a high energetic dog, will interact and be friendly towards other people, and doesn’t seem to be fazed by medium or large dogs.
Chanel loves a car ride and travels well, so long as there is enough room for her to lay down, as she will sleep most of the way .. She needs a heave hoe when hopping in the car (but I drive a RAM, so don’t blame her) and jumps down well, provided there is enough room.
Chanel is currently in foster care with two other greyhounds, who she respects and gives them their space, but will find her way to ‘front row centre’ as to not miss a thing … She loves her variety of food, eats well and adores a treat, or two.
Chanel would suit a home with an older couple, where her humans are home most of the time .. She will soak up all the love and attention you give her, and I guarantee you will definitely will get it back ten fold .. Chanel is a real smoochie of a dog, craves love, attention and a calm environment - just as she deserves.
[Note: Under Victorian Law greyhounds must be on-leash at all times in public areas, including in off-leash parks or ovals]
