About Baxter
Baxter is a sweet, sensitive, low-key kind of dog who wants a quiet life. While he is initially quite wary of new people, he warms up with some time and patience, and becomes loving and affectionate - no amount of pats are enough for this guy! Baxter has had a rough start to life, and is looking for a patient, understanding household with adults only. He is not suited to an area with lots of people or dogs around, and would prefer a quiet home to retire in.
Baxter needs a home with no other animals in it, where he can get all the attention to himself. He can find other dogs quite stressful. He would love for his new home to have a few weeks free to help him settle in and build up his time alone slowly. He is still a playful boy, and particularly loves to play fetch with tennis balls. Baxter has a few ongoing medical needs, and is potentially partially deaf.
If you have the time, patience, and love to give to Baxter, he will become a loyal and affectionate companion.
