🌸 Meet Asha – The Sweetest Little Soul You'll Ever Have the Privilege of Knowing 🌸

Some dogs wear their hearts on their sleeves. Others, like Asha, keep theirs safely tucked away until they know they're loved.

At 5 years and 5 months old, this beautiful little 10kg Labradoodle found herself needing a new beginning through absolutely no fault of her own. Having only ever known one family, life has suddenly become very different for Asha, and understandably, she can be a little unsure of new people and unfamiliar places.

But beneath that cautious exterior is the gentlest, sweetest little girl.

Asha isn't the type of dog who will run straight into your arms the moment she meets you. She'll quietly watch, take her time, and slowly work out whether you're one of the good ones. She just needs a little patience and kindness.

And when she decides you are...

Oh, what a beautiful thing it is.

Her worried eyes soften, her tail begins to wag, and she becomes the most loving, loyal companion you could ever wish for. She'll greet you after work with excitement, carefully sniffing where you've been before showering you with her gentle little kisses. It's her way of saying, "You're home... and I missed you."

Asha is a quiet girl who finds happiness in life's simple pleasures. A soft bed, a cosy couch, a gentle stroll around the neighbourhood, a tasty piece of chicken jerky, and the comfort of being close to the people she trusts. She's not interested in chaos or constant adventure—she'd much rather spend the afternoon curled up having one of her many naps before joining you for a relaxed walk later in the day.

She's beautifully mannered on lead and enjoys two gentle 2km walks each day, although she's just as content spending time at home. She has previously learned not to pull and walks politely beside you, happily taking in the world at her own pace.

Asha has happily lived as an only dog and would be perfectly content soaking up all the love herself. She can sometimes feel unsure around unfamiliar dogs and may bark if they get too close, but it's simply her way of saying she's not quite confident yet. With continued reassurance and positive experiences, her confidence continues to grow.

She is around 95% toilet trained but will need a family who remembers to take her outside regularly, as she won't tell you when she needs to go. Interestingly, Asha prefers to do all of her toileting while out on walks rather than in the backyard. She's also wonderfully independent and is quite happy relaxing at home during a normal workday, patiently waiting for the best part of her day—when her favourite people walk back through the front door.

Like any Labradoodle, Asha will need regular grooming to keep her lovely coat healthy. While brushing isn't exactly her favourite pastime, she's very manageable and her coat is easy to care for with routine maintenance.

Asha isn't looking for a perfect family.

She's simply looking for someone who understands that love doesn't always happen in the first five minutes.

She's looking for the person who will let her take that first cautious step, celebrate every little bit of confidence she gains, and smile the day she chooses to rest her head beside them because she finally knows she's home.

Watching a nervous dog learn to trust again is one of life's greatest gifts. There is something incredibly special about being chosen by a dog like Asha. Every wag, every cuddle, every gentle kiss feels earned—and that makes them all the more precious.
