Meet Brownie – The Little Backyard Survivor Looking for His Happy Ending! 🤎🐾

Sometimes the sweetest dogs have the hardest beginnings...

Poor Brownie was found abandoned in a backyard, incredibly underweight with his ribs clearly visible. Confused, hungry and unsure of the world around him, it's clear this little guy has missed out on so much during what should have been the best months of his life. 💔

Now it's his turn to discover what being a loved family dog is all about.

Brownie is a tiny little Staffy-type mix weighing just 20kg. With his adorable squishy little face that almost looks like a Pug crossed with a Staffy, he's guaranteed to make you smile every day. We aren't quite sure what breeds make up this quirky little boy—but whatever he is, he's absolutely adorable! 🥹

We estimate Brownie is around 10 months to 1 year old. He's still very much a puppy at heart and has so much learning ahead of him.

Food is also one of Brownie's greatest joys. Because he has experienced hunger in his past, he gets very excited at meal times and enthusiastically scoffs his food. A slow feeder bowl is recommended while he learns that he'll never have to worry about missing another meal. ❤️

The upside? His love of food makes him an absolute dream to train! 🍖✨ He is highly food motivated and will thrive with positive reward-based training and would absolutely love puppy or obedience classes.

Because Brownie spent much of his young life isolated outdoors, he has missed important socialisation experiences. Everything is still very new to him, so he'll need a patient family willing to continue teaching him how wonderful life can be.

He's previously lived around children, but his experience with other animals has been very limited.

For this reason we'd recommend:
🐶 An only dog home or a calm, desexed female dog pending a successful meet and greet.
🐱 No cats, as he has shown a high prey drive during play.
🚽 Ongoing toilet training, as he's lived outside for much of his life.

Brownie hasn't shown any fence-jumping abilities while in our care and once he trusts you, he'll become your little shadow, sticking to you like glue wherever you go. 🥹❤️

This sweet boy has been through far more than any puppy should. Despite that, he's incredibly loving, full of potential and just waiting for someone to show him what a real family looks like.
