Meet Dove! A gentle soul waiting to blossom. Dove recently came into our care after her previous owner could no longer provide the love and long-term commitment she deserves. Transitioning to shelter life has been tough on this sensitive angel, and being surrendered has understandably affected her sweet personality. Dove is currently feeling a bit depressed and overwhelmed by the busy kennel environment, making her quite shy with new people.

Beneath her hesitant exterior lies a deeply affectionate, sweet natured girl just waiting to re-emerge. Dove is going to need patient and considerate owners who understand that true trust takes a little time and that she will come out of her shell at her own pace. She needs a calm, secure environment where she can feel completely safe before she can fully blossom.

Because she thrives in a peaceful environment, Dove will need to be the only dog in her new household. However, she is ready and eager to join a family with secondary school-aged children and older who can respect her boundaries as she settles in.

We feel incredibly confident that this angel can show you how loving and confident she can become once she feels truly at home with you. However, dogs with Dove's sensitive, gentle nature find the shelter environment particularly challenging and can quickly decline if they stay here for too long. Because of this, we need to get her adopted into a loving home as soon as possible.
