Meet Janice, a gentle soul looking for her next special person ❤️
Janice has been with our rescue since December 2021. Before that, she was the much-loved queen of the Kensington colony.
In recent years, she found her own special person and became far more than a pet. Janice was a loyal companion through some incredibly difficult times, always nearby with her calm, comforting presence.
Sadly, her person now needs to move into aged care and can’t take Janice with them.
Now it’s Janice’s turn to be cared for.
She has fully embraced indoor life and would thrive in a peaceful home where she can stay close to her person. She’ll happily greet visitors, then quietly take herself off to another room if dogs come over.
Janice isn’t demanding. She simply loves being nearby while you read, watch television, work from home or enjoy a quiet afternoon.
She would be a beautiful companion for someone living alone, working from home or looking for a gentle presence to share the day with. She has a special way of making a home feel calmer and a person feel less alone.
Janice needs to be the only pet so she can finally be the centre of someone’s world.
After spending so many years giving comfort to others, she deserves a safe, loving home of her own.

Please email us at adoptions@heartandsoulrescue.com.au if you are interested in adopting one of our precious souls, and we will send you our Adoption Application Form 💛
Once we have received your completed application, we will contact you to discuss suitability. If we feel one of our cats or kittens may be the right match for you, we will then arrange either a home visit or request a short walk-through video of your home.
If all goes well, we offer a 2-week trial period to ensure your new cat or kitten is the right fit for your family 🐾
Conditions apply. Heart & Soul Rescue reserves the right to decline a full refund if recommendations and care requirements regarding your adopted cat or kitten have not been followed during the 2 week trial period. A 25% administration fee applies if a cat or kitten is returned during that time.
Heart & Soul Rescue is a volunteer-run, non-profit charity. We receive no government funding and rely entirely on donations and fundraising to cover our vet and rescue costs.
