A.K.A. Bets, Princess Diana, Stinky.
If you're looking for a dog who's equal parts cuddle bug and adventure buddy, Betsy might just be your perfect match.
Betsy is a sweet, curious goofball who absolutely adores her people. Her favourite place is wherever you are, whether that's curled up beside you in bed, snoozing on the couch, or simply following you from room to room. She's a true velcro greyhound with a heart of gold.
Her daily routine is pretty simple:
🐾 Long sniffy walks
🍖 Delicious meals
😴 Naps
❤️ Maximum cuddles
Most of the day, Betsy is calm, cosy and happily snoozing. But the moment she suspects a walk is happening? Game on. She'll zoom through the house, proudly parade her toys, and might even let out one of her rare excited barks. Walks are her absolute favourite thing, and she'd happily spend all day exploring the outdoors if she could.
Betsy would thrive in a home where someone is around most of the time and enjoys getting out for multiple walks each day. She's happiest with plenty of sniffing adventures, followed by quality couch time with her favourite humans.
Betsy is currently an only dog in foster care but may be able to live with another dog given careful introductions and time to settle.

Medical notes
Betsy has been diagnosed with SLO (symmetrical lupoid onychitis) which is a condition affecting her toe nails. The care plan for her SLO means she must be given supplements (omega oil, vitamin e, vitamin b12) with food. Details and an initial pack of supplements will be provided by Greyt Greys.

Adoption details
STEP 1 – ENQUIRE & EOI FORM:

If the greyhound you have applied for is unavailable or unsuitable, we can match you with a suitable greyhound. We may have a hound in foster care who might be well suited to your family.
STEP 2 – LET'S CHAT:
We'll phone you to discuss suitability, clarify any points of your application and chat process and next steps.
STEP 3 – HOUSE CHECK & MEET + GREET:
We'll come to you! The meet + greet is conducted at the same time that a house check is carried out. The meet + greet is the day that your newly adopted greyhound will be able to stay on with you.
Our adoption fee is $375.00 and must be paid before the meet + greet, and prior to starting your 3 week trial. Support from our team is freely available. If you have any issues, we urge you to contact us to try and work through them, as all rescue greyhounds have some period of adjustment.
If after the 3 week trial, you feel that you need to return the greyhound, we will refund your adoption fee (less a $50 administration fee), upon return of the dog and all paperwork and other items that the dog was adopted with.
All of our hounds are adopted out with the following:
> Collar, lead & coat
> Certificate of sterilisation & vaccination
> Flea & worm treated
> Care information for your newly adopted greyhound
> Access to our private Facebook page for foster carers, volunteers and adopters of our hounds. A community with invaluable advice and support!
