About Wattle
*In foster care in Summer Hill, Sydney*
Meet Wattle - the tiny kitten with enormous eyes, a gentle heart and endless curiosity!
The first thing everyone notices about Wattle is her eyes. They’re absolutely enormous and somehow make every expression even sweeter!
But her personality is just as lovely :) Quieter than her three sisters, and the smallest of the bunch, she likes to do things in her own time - often sitting back to observe a new situation, watching for a minute and then deciding it’s worth investigating (or not). She’s thoughtful and gentle, yet incredibly curious when something takes her fancy!
Her foster carers' teenage daughter nicknamed Wattle 'our little tinkerer', and it couldn’t suit her better. She’s always inspecting something closely - a new toy, a cardboard box, the washing basket… If it’s interesting, Wattle wants to work out how it works!
She also has a quirky obsession with sneakers! If you’re wondering where she’s disappeared to, there’s a good chance you’ll find her curled up beside someone’s shoe, sitting inside it or using it as her own little cubby house. Shoelaces are endlessly fascinating, and she’s even been known to hide her favourite toys inside a sneaker just so she can 'find' them again later. It’s one of those funny little habits that has her carers laughing every day.
Wattle's confidence seems to grow by the hour, showing itself in her playful moments with her siblings, and in the (increasingly common) times when she decides your lap is exactly where she’d like to be :) She’ll curl up, start purring and completely melt into you.
We think she'll be happiest in a home with at least one of her sisters so they can continue their adventures together, or with a resident cat who'll welcome her into the fold. See my sister Claudette here! https://www.petrescue.com.au/listings/1204911
Whoever's lucky enough to bring Wattle home will quickly discover that sometimes the quietest little kitten leaves the biggest paw prints on your heart!
Like all Maggie’s pets, Wattle is microchipped, desexed, and vaccinated.

MY IDEAL HOME: Humans who’ll give me the time I need to settle in while I get to know them would be my dream! Once I’m feeling safe, I’ll happily become your little shadow :)
I’d appreciate a home where someone's around quite a lot for cuddles, playtime and quiet afternoons together. I’d also love another friendly cat to play with, ideally one of my sisters if possible!
MY ENERGY LEVEL: Medium, I'd say. I love playing and exploring, but I’m equally happy snuggled up on a lap or beside a sneaker for a long afternoon nap.
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: Gentle kids who enjoy playing and cuddling would be perfect for me! I’ve grown up in a foster home with children and I love being part of family life.
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: Fantastic! I’ve been raised alongside cats, dogs and my sisters, so I'm very comfortable around other friendly animals :) I'd love to go to a home with my sister Claudette https://www.petrescue.com.au/listings/1204911

We ask all people looking to adopt to fill in our adoption enquiry form at https://form.jotform.co/92940837256870. Please use this link rather than the 'Enquire' button on the pet's PetRescue profile to streamline your enquiry.
Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two-week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
Please consider, that a Maggie's Pet is a pet for Life, before adopting.
