About Nora
*In foster care in Lidcombe, Sydney*
Sweet kitten Nora has the loveliest dilute tortoiseshell coat and an even lovelier personality! Since being scooped off the streets into foster care, she's grown into a loving, playful and happy-go-lucky girl who adores cuddles and affection, and she's now ready to find her forever home.
Early in life, Nora developed feline herpesvirus and unfortunately didn't receive medical treatment soon enough, which has left her with permanent abnormal eyes (bilateral symblepharon where the conjunctiva is growing over the cornea). She's been assessed by a veterinary ophthalmologist, and the good news is that her eyes are currently healthy and stable. The specialist doesn't expect her to need surgery in the future, and her condition shouldn't worsen as she grows.
Nora does have reduced vision and her eyes will always look a little different, but she adapts beautifully and gets around very well as a partially sighted kitten! Most importantly, her condition doesn't stop her from enjoying life to the fullest :)
Like all Maggie’s pets, Nora is microchipped, desexed, and vaccinated.

MY IDEAL HOME: I absolutely adore playing with my two foster brothers (and I like the pet rabbits too!), so I'm sure to thrive in a home with another nice cat. But as a huge fan of humans I'd also do wonderfully as your one-and-only furry friend, as long as you're able to spend quality time with me and shower me in love and attention.
MY ENERGY LEVEL: Off the charts! All cat toys are great, but wand toys are my favourite - watch how high I can jump when you dangle it out of reach (or so you think)!
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: Though I haven't had the chance to meet any children yet, kind and gentle ones who'll play with me sound like fun :)
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: Excellent for cats! I'm in foster care with three other cats, and also two rabbits, which I've enjoyed very much.
I'm unfamiliar with dogs at this stage, but open to meeting one!

We ask all people looking to adopt to fill in our adoption enquiry form at https://form.jotform.co/92940837256870. Please use this link rather than the 'Enquire' button on the pet's PetRescue profile to streamline your enquiry.
Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two-week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
Please consider, that a Maggie's Pet is a pet for Life, before adopting.
