About Emma
My name is Emma and I’m a beautiful 9 month old Border Collie cross girl.
I’m a fun loving, quirky young pup with a huge zest for life and a personality that’s guaranteed to make you smile. While I’ve had a bit of a rough start and haven’t always had the best experience with humans, I’ve bounced back with an incredible spirit and a whole lot of love to give. Whether it’s an adventure in the bush, a game of tug, or making new doggy friends, I’m always ready for fun!
My dream home is with people who appreciate an active, intelligent dog and are committed to helping me continue learning and growing. I would love a family who enjoys getting outdoors for walks, exploring nature, and including me in their adventures.
Because of my medical history, a family that can balance fun and activity with relaxation and recovery time would be perfect for me. Like any young dog, I’m still learning about the world, so ongoing training, consistency, and patience will help me thrive.
If there was an award for being the life of the party, I’d probably win it! I’m playful, affectionate, social, and absolutely full of personality. I love attending doggy daycare where I make friends wherever I go and keep everyone entertained with my happy, goofy nature.
Some of my favourite things include:
•Bush walks and outdoor adventures
•Playing tug-of-war
•Zooming around with my dog friends
• Learning new things
• Being involved in whatever my humans are doing
I currently live with dogs, a cat and chickens in my foster home and am learning how to be respectful around all kinds of animals. I’ve also spent time on lead around horses and am continuing to develop my livestock manners. With guidance and ongoing training, I have all the potential to become a wonderful rural or semi-rural companion.
I’m a clever girl and have already learned so much! I am:
•Toilet trained
• Crate trained
• Strengthening my lead manners and long lead skills
• Developing my recall skills
• Learning appropriate behaviour around livestock
• Social and confident around other dogs
Like any young working dog mix, I’ll continue to benefit from positive reinforcement training and opportunities to use my brain as well as my body.
If you’re looking for a best friend who will keep you laughing, join you on adventures, and fill your life with love, fun and a little bit of cheeky mischief, then I might just be your perfect match.
Love, Emma
