Meet Sam, a gorgeous little red dog with a wonderfully spotty, patchy coat, the cutest stumpy tail and a very special mark on the top of his head—which we are quite certain means he has been kissed by an angel.
At just 13.3 kg, Sam is a compact bundle of intelligence, personality and charm. He is friendly, confident and dog-friendly, with definite opinions about life and no hesitation in expressing them. His response to cats is currently unknown.
Sam’s breed mix is rather sensational. Red Cattle Dogs are renowned for their intelligence, loyalty and devotion, while Jack Russell Terriers bring enthusiasm, humour and plenty of character. Together, they make for a clever, engaging little dog who will thrive with an owner who enjoys an active companion and is prepared to provide exercise, mental stimulation and kind, consistent guidance.
Sam learns quickly and likes to be involved in whatever his people are doing. He is not a dog who will fade quietly into the background—he has presence, personality and a great deal of love to give.
Once Sam decides that you are his person, he will give you his whole heart and love you faithfully for life.

Adoption details
Dogs:
(1) The first step is to complete the online adoption application form at https://southerndownsark.com.au/apply-to-adopt/ Please answer all questions and include photos of your yard and fencing.
(2) All applications will be considered by our Adoption Team, following which a "meet and greet" will be offered to the top-ranking applicant.
(3) If the “meet and greet" is successful, the applicant may adopt the dog and take him or her home the same day.
(4) For successful interstate applicants, different arrangements may apply and will be negotiated on a case-by-case basis.
Cats:
