Alfie is a sweet senior Jack Russell x Chihuahua who is looking for a loving retirement home to call his own.

Sadly, Alfie became homeless when his owner’s new rental property did not allow pets. Through no fault of his own, he found himself needing a fresh start, and now he’s ready to find a family who will cherish him for the rest of his life.

Alfie is a calm, quiet, and easy-going little gentleman. He loves being around people and enjoys their company, but he is also perfectly content relaxing on his own when his humans are out. He has a gentle, independent nature that makes him an easy companion to live with.

When Alfie came into our care, he was suffering from severe dental disease. After a full veterinary assessment, he underwent a dental scale and polish with 10 extractions. He has recovered beautifully and is now much happier and pain-free.

Alfie knows how to use a doggy door and gets along well with other small, gentle dogs. He enjoys pottering around the backyard, curling up on the couch beside his favourite person, and soaking up plenty of pats and affection.

Alfie would thrive in a quiet home, ideally with a retired couple or someone who can enjoy spending quality time with him. A home with a small, secure backyard would suit him perfectly. He is looking for a family who will welcome him as an indoor companion, allowing him to spend most of his time with his people while having the freedom to pop outside through the doggy door whenever he wishes.

After everything Alfie has been through, he deserves a home where he will be loved, cared for, and treated as a cherished member of the family for the rest of his golden years.

4. Could you disclose any other animals currently residing with you, along with their personalities?

5. Do you have experience with this breed, or done a well research about it?

6. Are you familiar with the long-term responsibilities of dog ownership, including training requirements and willing to give Alfie the time needed to settle in your home?

7. How many hours will Alfie be left alone each day, and who will assume the responsibility for him during your absences or holiday periods?

8. Are you in a position to provide Alfie quality veterinary care and nutritious food?

9. Will Alfie be considered as a family member, living indoor with outdoor access as he pleases? Please describe his future sleeping arrangements.

10. In case of a change in circumstances, will you reach out to us for assistance?
