About Dorothy
Dorothy is a gentle, sweet-natured little girl with a soft soul and a heart full of love. She can be a little shy when meeting new people, but with a little patience and reassurance, she quickly blossoms into an incredibly affectionate companion who loves cuddles and being close to her people.
Once Dorothy feels safe, her beautiful personality truly shines. She enjoys seeking out company, happily curling up for a snuggle before showing off her playful side. As the sun goes down, Dorothy comes to life with her adorable evening zoomies, racing around the house, chasing toys, and exploring every little corner with curiosity and excitement.
She is the perfect combination of gentle and playful, making her a wonderful addition to a family willing to give her the time she needs to settle in. In return, Dorothy will reward you with endless affection, plenty of laughs, and a lifelong best friend.
Dorothy is also currently in foster care with a friendly resident dog. While she doesn’t seek out the dog’s company, she happily coexists alongside them and is completely unfazed by having a dog in the home, making her well suited to a calm, dog-friendly household.
Due to our single kitten policy, Dorothy must be adopted into a home with a friendly resident cat or adopted alongside another kitten. Her brother Keith is also available for adoption.

Adoption details
All animals adopted through Out of the Woods Rescue are desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, flea/worm treated and health-checked. We aim to match each animal with a home that suits their needs and personality.
Here’s how our adoption process works:
Submit an application – This helps us get to know you, your household and what you're looking for in a pet.
Phone chat – If your application looks like a potential fit, one of our team members will contact you for a casual phone conversation to answer questions and discuss the animal in more detail.
Meet and greet – You’ll meet the animal in their foster home or another agreed location. If everyone agrees it’s a good match, we can proceed to adoption.
Adoption paperwork and payment – Our adoption fees cover desexing, microchipping, vaccination and parasite treatment.
Once adopted, the animal becomes part of your family. We're still here for post-adoption support if you ever need any help.
We’re committed to ethical adoptions and reserve the right to decline applications if we feel the match isn’t in the best interest of the animal.
