READY FOR ADOPTION – MEET Junie

Junie, or June bug is an approximately six-month-old female Staffy mix who currently weighs around 11 kg and will likely grow into a medium-sized dog.

With her beautiful champagne-fawn coat, velvety-soft fur, warm hazel eyes and floppy ears, Junie has the sweetest, gentlest presence. Junie and her three siblings were surrendered to a rural critical pound in New South Wales. They arrived severely underweight, desperately hungry and unfamiliar with consistent access to food, fresh water and kindness.

Despite such a difficult beginning, Junie has never stopped believing in people. With patience, routine and love, her confidence has quietly blossomed into the beautiful little dog she is today. Junie is one of the sleepiest and gentlest puppies you'll ever meet. She pads around on soft little feet as though she's trying not to disturb anyone. The moment you speak to her, she bursts into the sweetest little tippy taps at your feet, accompanied by tiny groans of excitement that are impossible not to smile at. It's her own special way of saying she's happy to be with you.

​She adores people and is happiest simply being near them, whether she's quietly following you from room to room, resting her head on your lap or curling up beside you for a cuddle. She enjoys exploring, playing with her toys and the occasional burst of zoomies before happily settling down again.

​Junie is a social young lady who enjoys the company of other dogs and approaches new introductions with a excitable, respectful nature. She travels quietly in the car, is relaxed around thunder, rain, household noises and dogs barking through fences, and is easy to handle, happily allowing her paws, ears and mouth to be examined. As with any puppy, interactions with young children should be supervised.

While she could adapt to being an only dog, we believe she would thrive with another kind, well-socialised dog. After everything she's been through, she deserves a canine companion to share her days with.

After such a difficult start to life, all Junie is looking for now is a family to love, a comfy bed to call her own and someone who'll treasure her for the incredibly special little girl she is.
