Meet Kaia - An 11 month old Labrador X Staffy with the biggest heart and sweetest soul who is looking to find her loving forever home.

Kaia came into care due to being surrendered by her previous owners, at no fault of her own. She is now ready to meet her forever people who will provide her with the consistency and routine she is looking for.

The shelter has proven to be quite an overwhelming environment for little Kaia, and she has been working with the Behaviour team to build up her confidence, particularly around unfamiliar dogs and calming behaviours. She has already shown amazing progression and is looking for adopters who are willing to continue with this training with her, ensuring she is supported during her transition into her new home.

This lady is still very young, and has quite the energy! She would love to go home to a household who have an active lifestyle, where she can join you on walks, runs, hikes, and any other adventures you go on. Wherever you are, Kaia would also like to be! Kaia would also benefit from adopters who are home more often than not, so she can get as many cuddles and treats as she possibly can throughout the day.

A household with Secondary children and older is preferred for Kaia, where they are confident around bigger dogs and respect boundaries when Kaia might need some space. She may also be okay to go home to a dog friend who is pro social, pending on a successful meet and greet.
