About Mini
READY FOR ADOPTION – MEET Mini
Mini is a pocket rocket girl with a beautiful personality. She is timid but cheeky. She will grow to be an affectionate and loyal shadow.
She currently has puppy energy to burn and loves to race about the garden, finding sticks and other treasure before taking long naps. Mini will thrive in a quieter home, she is very wary of strangers and hides in her crate.
Mini is learning to toilet train using washable training mats inside and grass outside using the command “go wees”. Mini sleeps in her crate and happily goes in when you say “bedtime”. She understands “sit” and is working on “stay” and “wait”. Mini has not started lead training and can be easily distracted so patience and consistency will be a must.
Still in her puppy stage Mini will look for things to chew on if she is bored, she will need supervision and redirection from things like shoes, furniture and carpet. Mental stimulation combined with continued training and guidance, will help Mini become the very best version of herself. If you are looking for a small fur companion who enjoys short bursts of activity, Mini could be your girl. It may take a little time to gain her trust, however if you are her ‘person’ Mini will adore you and be happy to follow you wherever you are. She will thrive with an owner that she can always keep in sight, she is more than happy to nap on your lap while you work or watch TV.
Mini is currently living in foster care with her larger puppy sister Maple and a resident cat who she has shown interest in befriending. Mini is generally the more submissive of the two sisters however can become aggressive when their play goes too far. Due to this, Mini and Maple would be best adopted separately to avoid developing littermate syndrome and allow both to reach her own potential.
Mini would be best suited to an adult-only home or a family with mature teenagers who are small dog savvy as she can nip fingers and clothing when playing. She is not suited to a home with young children. She may be suitable to live with mature cats when introductions are carried out slowly and appropriately. Mini’s mum is a staffy x Mini’s dad is a wired hair terrier x
