Penelope can be nervous when meeting new people, but with patience, understanding, and a calm environment, her sweet personality will begin to shine. She would suit an adult home with adopters who understand that trust takes time and are happy to give her the space she needs to settle in.
She may also be suited to a home with cat-savvy, gentle teenagers who can respect her boundaries and help her feel safe.
Penelope is ready for a loving home where she can truly flourish.
Adoption details
Our adoption process is designed to match you with the right pet, the first time. Our team are experts at rehoming animals who have specific needs that match your lifestyle, to ensure every adoption placement will last a lifetime.
At our Peninsula site, adoption hours are 12pm – 4pm. You are welcome to attend our reception office without an appointment to begin our adoption process during adoption hours.
The adoption areas are not free to walk through, and you will need to chat with our staff to confirm that a potential adoption is a good match.
Once the adoption has been discussed, a staff member will facilitate a walk-through of the adoption areas or have an animal brought to you in a greeting area.
