Meet Chelsea, a beautiful 1 year, 9 month old Maremma Sheepdog looking for a home that understands and appreciates her unique nature.

Chelsea is a sweet, gentle girl who forms strong bonds with her people. Like many Maremmas, she's naturally cautious around strangers and may take a little time to warm up to new faces-but once you've earned her trust, you'll have a loyal companion by your side.

As a guardian breed, Chelsea isn't your typical pet dog. She'll thrive in a home with plenty of space to roam, patrol and watch over, where her natural instincts are understood and encouraged. A rural or semi-rural property with land to explore would be her dream home.

Chelsea may be able to live with another dog and older, dog-savvy children who can respect her space and gentle nature. She hasn't been tested with cats, and while she was a little wary of the horse in our back paddock, she showed no concerning behaviour.

Maremmas are incredibly rewarding dogs in the right environment, and Chelsea is no exception. If you have a large property and are looking for a loyal, loving girl to share it with, Chelsea could be the perfect addition to your family.
