About Benji
Benji is a fun-loving, affectionate boy with a big personality who is looking for a loving, active family to call his own. Due to no fault of his own, he is searching for a new forever home where he can enjoy the exercise, attention and companionship he thrives on.
This handsome lad already knows a number of commands, including sit, lie down, stay and out, and he's crate trained too—simply tell him to "go to bed" (especially if there's a treat involved!) and he'll happily settle in.
Benji loves being part of the family and enjoys cuddles, pats and plenty of attention. One of his favourite things is being brushed, making grooming a wonderful bonding time.
Like many young, energetic dogs, Benji can become very excited when meeting new people. He often greets them by jumping up, and may try to lick them or investigate their shoes. If he's left without enough mental or physical stimulation, he can become bored and may chew on household items, so he'll do best with an active home that can keep both his body and mind engaged.
Benji has been deeply loved by his current family, and this decision has not been made lightly. They simply feel that, at this stage of their lives, they can no longer provide the level of activity and enrichment that this energetic boy deserves.
If you're looking for a loyal, affectionate companion with plenty of enthusiasm for life, Benji could be the perfect addition to your family. 💙

Adoption details
We list animals for adoption on Pet Rescue as well as on our own Animals-in-Need-Brisbane website. We talk with people who contact about an animal to see what their needs and situation are. Our emphasis is on getting the right animal for the people and the right people for the animal. If everyone's needs are met things usually work out well.
If the situation sounds good we arrange a meeting. If all goes well we let people try the animal out for a couple of weeks to ensure that everyone is happy.
We keep records of all adopters, follow up to ensure all is well and undertake to take back any animal if circumstances change.
