Some dogs simply want to be part of your life… and we think Tex is one of them.

At just 2 years old, this handsome Border Collie x Cattle Dog has the perfect combination of intelligence, loyalty and enthusiasm. Weighing around 20–30kg, Tex is a medium-sized boy with a big heart and plenty of love to give.

Tex is looking for a family to call his own after his owner sadly made the difficult decision to rehome him due to a change in living circumstances. Through no fault of his own, Tex is now searching for the forever home he truly deserves.

Tex is a friendly, people-loving boy who enjoys human company and has lived happily with children. He already has some lovely manners, walking nicely on lead and knowing commands such as sit and stay, giving his new family a fantastic foundation to continue his training.

Like many intelligent working breeds, Tex will thrive with an owner who enjoys including their dog in everyday life. Whether it’s daily walks, hiking, weekend adventures or simply hanging out while you potter around the yard, Tex will be happiest with a family who gives him both physical exercise and mental stimulation.

Tex is still a young dog and does enjoy chewing from time to time, so he’ll appreciate plenty of appropriate chew toys and enrichment to keep his clever mind busy.

As Tex’s history with other dogs, cats, livestock and pocket pets is unknown, any introductions should be slow, sensible and well managed.

We believe Tex will make an incredibly loyal companion for an active family who understands the needs of intelligent working breeds and is committed to making him a true member of the family.
