Meet Leon 🐾

Leon is a sweet, gentle soul with a heart full of love and a zest for life. His confidence has blossomed so much in foster care, and he's now ready to find a forever home where he can continue to thrive.

Because having canine companionship has been such an important part of his journey, **Leon will need a home with at least one confident, friendly resident dog**. A doggy friend helps him feel secure and brings out the very best in his playful, happy personality.

Leon is an affectionate, curious, and energetic boy who loves nothing more than zooming around the yard, chasing a ball, playing with his doggy pals, or proudly carrying around his favourite stuffed toys (which he also enjoys chewing and cuddling!).

He's made incredible progress with his training. Once terrified of wearing a leash, Leon now walks beautifully for a dog who has come so far and continues to improve every day. He knows his basic commands, has excellent recall, is crate trained, and is highly treat-motivated, making ongoing training both rewarding and fun. General mild anxiety, managed well with fluoxetine, recommend weaning off once settled in forever home

Living with other dogs has taught Leon wonderful social skills. He reads canine body language well, accepts corrections respectfully if he gets a little too excited, and is naturally submissive. He loves meeting new people and dogs but always approaches politely without being pushy.

At home, Leon is incredibly loyal and happiest when he's close to his people. After a day of adventures, he's more than ready to curl up beside you for cuddles at bedtime. His gentle, sensitive nature means he responds best to patience, kindness, and positive reinforcement rather than harsh corrections.

Leon has worked so hard to become the happy, confident boy he is today. All he's looking for now is a family who will continue to encourage him, love him, and let him be part of their everyday life.
