💔 8 months in foster care… and still waiting for someone to call his own. 💔

Meet Leon 🐾

8 months. That’s how long this gorgeous boy has been waiting for his forever family. Despite all the progress he’s made and all the love he has to give, his perfect match is still out there somewhere. 🥺

With his goofy ears, adorable smile and heart of gold, Leon is a boy who deserves to be someone’s everything. ❤️

Leon is a sweet, gentle soul whose confidence has blossomed beautifully in foster care. He’s grown into a happy, affectionate and playful boy who is ready to find a family of his very own.

🐶 Leon needs a confident, friendly resident dog to help him feel secure and continue thriving. Having canine companionship has been such an important part of his journey, and a doggy friend really brings out the best in him.

Leon is full of personality and loves:
🎾 Zooming around the yard and chasing a ball
🧸 Carrying around his favourite stuffed toys (and enjoying a good chew or cuddle!)
🌊 Beach walks and adventures with his people
☕️ Relaxing at cafes and being part of everyday life
❤️ Cuddles and curling up beside his favourite humans at the end of the day

He’s also worked incredibly hard on his training! Once terrified of wearing a leash, Leon now walks beautifully and continues to improve every day. He knows his basic commands, has excellent recall, is crate trained and is highly treat-motivated.

Leon is social with other dogs, reads their body language well and accepts corrections respectfully if he gets a little too excited. He loves meeting new people and dogs, approaching politely without being pushy.

At home, he’s a loyal boy who loves being close to his people. He has a gentle, sensitive nature, so patience, kindness and positive reinforcement will help him continue to shine.

Leon has come such a long way. Now he just needs someone to give him a chance.

After 246 days of waiting, we would love nothing more than to see this beautiful boy finally find the family he deserves. A family who will cherish his goofy ears, celebrate his progress, enjoy his playful antics and love him for the rest of his life.
