About Ruby - 5 Month Old Dogue de Bordeaux X
🐾Meet Ruby – a gentle, affectionate girl looking for her forever family. 🐾
Ruby is a beautiful 5-month-old Dogue de Bordeaux cross with a sweet, slender build and the gentlest nature. She can be a little timid when meeting new people, but once she knows you're safe, she'll happily shower you with affection and be right by your side for cuddles.
Unlike many puppies her age, Ruby has a lovely calm temperament. She's not a high-energy, bitey puppy and is just as happy relaxing in the sunshine as she is snuggled up on the lounge or in bed with her favourite people.
About Ruby:
🐶Sweet, gentle and affectionate once she knows you
🐶Calm nature – not your typical high-energy, bitey puppy
🐶Currently living happily with a Great Dane and a Kelpie
🐶Great with children – as a puppy she is suited to a home with children aged 5+
🐶Crate trained
🐶House trained, provided she has access outside when she needs to
🐶Food motivated and eager to learn
🐶Already knows how to sit and patiently waits for her meals
🐶Waits politely before coming inside the house
🐶Has been exposed to backyard chickens and has shown very little interest in them
🏡Ruby's Ideal Home
Ruby would thrive in a patient, loving home that understands she can be a little shy initially and will give her the time she needs to settle in and build confidence.
She would especially benefit from having another friendly, confident dog in the home to continue showing her the ropes and helping her grow into a confident adult.
As she's still a young puppy, Ruby would benefit from a home where someone is around for at least part of the day while she continues to grow and learn. When her family is out, she's happy to spend time exploring the backyard or relaxing in the sunshine with her fur-siblings until her people return home.
Ruby hasn't had much exposure to the outside world yet, including walking on a lead, so she'll need a family committed to continuing her socialisation and training. Like all young puppies, these early experiences are important in helping her grow into a confident, well-adjusted adult. The good news is that Ruby absolutely loves her food, making training both enjoyable and rewarding.
Ruby is ready to find a family who will help her continue building confidence while giving her all the love she deserves. If you're looking for a sweet, gentle puppy to grow alongside your family, Ruby could be the perfect addition to your home and is ready to start her next chapter.
Ruby's adoption fee is $600 which includes her desexing when she is old enough. She has been vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, and is microchipped.
Ruby is in foster care in Lake Macquarie, NSW. Since she is not yet desexed, she is only available for adoption to the Lower Hunter region (Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Port Stephens, Maitland and Cessnock) plus Central Coast and Sydney. She'll need to be returned to one of our approved vets for desexing when she's 6 months old.
