Gavin, Trevor and Barry are three healthy, happy Belted Galloway steers seeking a very special new home together.
These lovely boys have been with the same family since they were around six months old and are being rehomed only because ongoing drought conditions mean their owners can no longer provide the amount of pasture they need. This is an extremely reluctant and heartbreaking decision, and finding the right home is far more important than the adoption fee.
The boys are friendly, gentle and easily managed. They are accustomed to people, have been regularly drenched and make excellent, environmentally friendly lawn mowers.
They would be a wonderful addition to a suitable acreage property where they can continue to live safely and comfortably as much-loved pets.
Gavin, Trevor and Barry are closely bonded, so strong preference will be given to a home able to keep all three together.
Their new property must provide:
• Plenty of good-quality pasture
• Reliable access to clean, fresh water
• Supplementary hand feeding whenever seasonal conditions require it
• Safe, secure and cattle-appropriate fencing
• Appropriate ongoing veterinary and husbandry care
The boys are currently unvaccinated.
Transport from their home in Stanthorpe Q. will be the responsibility of the adopter, as will compliance with relevant legal, identification, biosecurity and property requirements relating to the ownership, movement and management of cattle.
These are gentle, much-loved boys who simply need more pasture than their current family can provide. They are not being offered for meat production or resale.

Dogs:
(1) The first step is to complete the online adoption application form at https://southerndownsark.com.au/apply-to-adopt/ Please answer all questions and include photos of your yard and fencing.
(2) All applications will be considered by our Adoption Team, following which a "meet and greet" will be offered to the top-ranking applicant.
(3) If the “meet and greet" is successful, the applicant may adopt the dog and take him or her home the same day.
(4) For successful interstate applicants, different arrangements may apply and will be negotiated on a case-by-case basis.
Cats:
