This stunning 3-year-old male black cat is the real deal: social, friendly, affectionate, and confidently relaxed. Just like his namesake, he’s got that cool, self-assured jungle vibe, he knows who he is, and he’s not going to pretend to be anyone else. But once you’re in his inner circle? You’ve got a loyal companion for life.

A True Jungle Prince with a Heart of Gold

Bagheera came to us after his previous family sadly couldn’t give him the forever home he deserves. He was deeply loved and is still very much a “people cat” at heart. He settled into his foster home almost instantly, making friends with the other cats like he’d always lived there.

He’s low maintenance, relaxed, and fits seamlessly into almost any household, whether you’re a busy single, a couple, or a family with other pets.

He’s an independent soul with a big personality, just like the wise panther who roamed the jungle on his own terms. Don’t expect full-on velcro mode from day one, he’ll take a little time to decide you’re his person. But once he chooses you? Prepare for the sweetest, funniest, most loving friendship.

Expect:

Leaning cuddles and purrs so loud they sound like a little tractor engine (with bonus happy drool when he really gets going!)
Enthusiastic biscuit-making - he takes his paw massages very seriously (claws included, because he’s still a wild jungle spirit at heart)
Cheeky snack-thief missions - he’s clever and curious, always on the lookout for an unattended bowl
Zoomies with his favourite fishing line toy, and safe outdoor adventures (he loves exploring but happily returns home like a true gentleman)

About Us

Urban Feline Australia is a small, independent cat rescue dedicated to saving surrendered cats from kill shelters and finding them loving, permanent homes.

Founded and run by a passionate animal lover with the support of dedicated friends and volunteers, we specialise in caring for cats that have previously lived in family homes but, for various reasons, can no longer stay with their owners.

Since our inception, we have been fortunate to build a small but dedicated network of volunteer foster carers. These compassionate individuals welcome the surrendered cats into their homes, providing them with love, care, and a safe environment while we search for their perfect forever families.

As a tiny, grassroots rescue with no government funding or large facilities, every rescue is powered by compassion, community support, and a genuine commitment to animal welfare.

All adoption fees and donations go directly toward the essential needs of the cats in our care — including premium food, veterinary treatment, litter, equipment, and ongoing medical support. We rely heavily on the generosity of our foster carers, volunteers, and supporters to continue our work.

Our long-term vision is to expand so we can help even more cats in need. This includes securing a larger dedicated property and, one day, possibly opening a cat café to raise awareness and funds while creating a welcoming space for cat lovers.
