About Gizmo & Monty
❤️ Meet Gizmo & Monty – The Dynamic Duo Looking for Their Forever Home! ❤️
Looking for double the trouble and quadruple the love? These two bonded brothers are ready to steal your heart (and maybe a snack or two)!
Gizmo (the mostly black mischief-maker) and Monty (the big, beautiful black-and-white gentleman) are 4 years and 8 months old.
They’ve been spoiled rotten by their loving owners and are the best of buddies who do everything together. These boys are a true bonded pair and would love to stay side-by-side in their new forever home.
At first, they can be a little shy and skittish around new people (especially Gizmo, the drama king of the two), but once they decide you’re their person? Prepare for maximum cuddles, purrs, and affection. They adore human company and will happily follow you around once they’ve warmed up.
A little about the boys:
Monty is the larger, gentle giant. He’s playful, affectionate, and nicely vocal when he has something to say. He’ll happily snooze by himself sometimes, but he much prefers curling up next to “his” people. He’s been known to politely beg for a taste from your plate… though he often looks a bit surprised when he actually gets it! Small hand-fed treats are his favourite.
Gizmo is the smaller, cheekier brother. He’s full of energy, super playful, and very talkative. This little guy is very attached to his humans and will happily take food straight from your hand (any size – he’s not fussy!). Once he’s done with his own treat, he’ll often try to “borrow” Monty’s too. Classic little brother behaviour!
Both boys are healthy, desexed, vaccinated, microchipped and have been well-loved every single day of their lives.
Their current owners are heartbroken to see them go, but they’re heading off on a big travel adventure in a couple of months. They had a perfect family arrangement lined up, but unfortunately that’s fallen through due to illness, so they’re now searching for the right forever home for their precious boys.
Ideal home:
A patient, understanding person or family who will give them time to settle in and come to them on their own terms. A calm, loving environment with plenty of playtime, cuddles, and maybe the occasional treat to share would be purrfect!
Gizmo and Monty are currently living with their owners in Shepperton. We’re helping spread the word so we can find them their ideal new home before their humans head overseas.
If you’ve got a big heart and a comfy couch (bonus points for sunbeams and cardboard boxes), these two sweet, silly boys would love to meet you. They have so much love to give once they know they’re safe with you.
Please send their owner Denise an email if you think you might be a good fit for Gizmo & Monty and she'll be more than happy to arrange a time for you to meet and hopefully fall in love with them.

Ready to welcome two very special cats into your life? 💕
About Us
Urban Feline Australia is a small, independent cat rescue dedicated to saving surrendered cats from kill shelters and finding them loving, permanent homes.
Founded and run by a passionate animal lover with the support of dedicated friends and volunteers, we specialise in caring for cats that have previously lived in family homes but, for various reasons, can no longer stay with their owners.
Since our inception, we have been fortunate to build a small but dedicated network of volunteer foster carers. These compassionate individuals welcome the surrendered cats into their homes, providing them with love, care, and a safe environment while we search for their perfect forever families.
As a tiny, grassroots rescue with no government funding or large facilities, every rescue is powered by compassion, community support, and a genuine commitment to animal welfare.
All adoption fees and donations go directly toward the essential needs of the cats in our care — including premium food, veterinary treatment, litter, equipment, and ongoing medical support. We rely heavily on the generosity of our foster carers, volunteers, and supporters to continue our work.
Our long-term vision is to expand so we can help even more cats in need. This includes securing a larger dedicated property and, one day, possibly opening a cat café to raise awareness and funds while creating a welcoming space for cat lovers.
How You Can Help
As a small, independent rescue, we depend entirely on the kindness and generosity of our supporters and animal lovers like you. If you would like to support our mission and help us save more lives, please visit the donations page on our website. Every contribution, no matter the size, makes a meaningful difference.
We’d also love to connect with you on social media:

Following and sharing our pages helps us reach more potential adopters and supporters. If we can grow our audience, we’ll be able to generate a small ongoing income to sustain and expand the rescue.
We are always in need of foster carers. If you have a safe, loving temporary home and would like to help us care for a cat on their journey to their forever family, please get in touch. The more foster homes we have, the more cats we can save.
Thank you for taking the time to learn about Urban Feline Australia.
Together, we can make a meaningful difference in the lives of many beautiful cats. 💙

Adoption details
We try to make things very easy and straight forward while at the same time making sure we are matching the right cat to the right home.
The first step in the adoption process is a quick chat over the phone to make you are able meet the cats needs and your home is a good fit for the cats personality.
From there we will organize a meet and greet the cats foster home where you will be able to see the cat in action and get a gauge of their personality.
Once you have adopted you new furry feline friend we offer ongoing support and you are welcome to contact us anytime if you have questions, concerns or need advice.
We work hard to make sure that each cat is a good fit for their new home but in the unlikely even that things do not work out we have a 21 day cooling off period and you are more than welcome to return the cat to us during that time.
We will happily refund 50% of the adoption fee or you are welcome to donate this refund to assist with the ongoing cost of the animals care.
