Meet Toto – A Loving Little Companion Looking for His Forever Family
Toto is a gorgeous 3½-year-old boy with a huge heart and so much love to give. Once he trusts you, he is incredibly affectionate and happiest when he’s close to his people. Whether it’s curling up beside you on the couch or snuggling into bed at night (or happily sleeping in his own bed), Toto simply loves being part of the family.
Toto enjoys going for walks and walks beautifully on lead. While he’s confident with his person, he can become anxious when unfamiliar people are nearby, particularly in parks or when visitors come into the home. He’ll thrive with an adopter who understands that confidence takes time to build and is happy to support him with gentle, positive guidance.
One place Toto shines is at the vet! He’s an excellent patient and takes everything in his stride. He also loves car rides and is always happy to jump in for an adventure.
Although he can be a little reserved when meeting other dogs, once he’s comfortable he absolutely loves to play and enjoys having canine friends. He can also be a bit of a fussy eater, so his new family may need a little patience in finding his favourite meals.
Toto is looking for a calm, committed home that will embrace him for who he is. His ideal family will understand that a little anxiety doesn’t define him—it simply means he needs people willing to help him feel safe and secure.
Due to his tendency to bark when he’s feeling unsure, Toto is not suited to apartment or unit living and is looking for a home with a secure yard where he can relax without the close proximity of neighbours.

Adoption details
Thank you for your interest in adopting through our rescue.
If you are shortlisted, a member of our team will be in touch within 7–10 working days. Due to the high volume of applications we receive, we are unfortunately unable to enter into correspondence with unsuccessful applicants.
Shortlisted applicants will participate in a phone interview to help us assess the suitability of the home for the individual dog. The needs of each dog are our priority, and we will only proceed where we feel there is a strong match.
Successful applicants will have a meet and greet at a mutually convenient time with the foster carer. This will include introductions to all household members and any existing pets, as well as a property/fence check.
If all goes well, the dog may begin a 14-day trial period in the home to ensure the match is the right fit for both the dog and adopter. An adoption form will be completed and the adoption fee paid at this stage (fully refundable within the trial period if the placement is not suitable).
All relevant veterinary and adoption documentation will be provided upon successful completion of the trial period.
