Meet Fig

Fig is a beautiful girl who is currently part of our Rescue or Rehome program. While she has shown us that she can be affectionate and enjoys attention it can take some time foe her to come around, she is also finding shelter life quite challenging and can sometimes display conflicting behaviours as she tries to navigate a stressful environment.

One moment, Fig may be leaning in for pats and enjoying a smooch, and the next she may become unsure and respond with a hiss. This isn't because she's a bad cat - it's simply her way of communicating that she's feeling overwhelmed or uncertain. We believe that with a calm, predictable home and an understanding adopter, Fig will have the opportunity to relax and show more of her true personality.

Fig is looking for a patient home that can give her the time, space and understanding she needs to settle in and build confidence. Someone experienced with shy or sensitive cats would be ideal, as they will appreciate that trust takes time and that every small step forward is a big achievement.
