About Charlie
Intorucing Charlie,
Charlie is a sweet boy who has found the shelter super challenging, and is now looking for a loving home where he can live his best life.
We have no doubt that Charlie will find his forever family, but we are looking for an extra-special household to take him on! Charlie came into our care just over a month ago as a surrender after his family were no longer able to care for him.
The shelter has been quite a stressful place for a dog like Charlie, and although Charlie has previously lived with another dog, his new home will need to have no other animals. At this point, Charlie is exhibiting behaviours that show he is not too fond of interacting with other dogs, so his new family will need to slowly work on building his confidence up around other dogs.
Although retrievers are known for being great family dogs, Charlie is quite a boisterous young boy. He lacks the usual manners of most family dogs, and is not suitable at this stage to go home with young children. Charlie would be okay with a family with secondary school-aged dog-savvy children due to his boisterous temperament.
On top of this, Charlie needs an active family experienced with large breed dogs, who are willing to dedicate the time and energy to meet his daily needs. He is a very active boy who will need a backyard space and daily walks to keep his mind and body active!
If you think Charlie could be the boy for you, come on down and meet him at North Melbourne today!
*All family members must be present for the meet and greet. We are unable to place any holds on our animals; we operate on a first come first serve basis*
