Meet Whippy... the gentle little Greyhound who's been waiting far too long for her family 🤍🐾

Whippy simply melts into your heart.

This beautiful young Greyhound has now been waiting far longer than she deserves, and we honestly can't understand why. She's one of those rare dogs who seems to fit effortlessly into almost any home. Quiet, gentle, incredibly social with other dogs, and wonderfully mature for such a young girl.

At around 10-12 months old, Whippy has all the best parts of puppyhood without the chaos. She still loves a run around and a game with her doggy friends, but once she's had a little fun she's perfectly happy to stretch out on a comfy bed and snooze the afternoon away like a true Greyhound.

She's the definition of an "easy" dog.

🐾 Beautiful Greyhound nature - calm, gentle and incredibly sweet.

🐶 Loves other dogs and has wonderful social skills. She's playful without being over the top and knows how to read other dogs beautifully.

🚶 Walks like an absolute dream. She loves wearing her harness, doesn't pull on lead and happily strolls beside you.

🤫 Exceptionally quiet. Whippy isn't a vocal dog and has lovely relaxed manners around the kennels.

🛋️ Has that famous Greyhound "off switch." After a walk or a play she'll happily spend hours snoozing beside you.

💗 Affectionate without being demanding. She simply enjoys being near her people.

😂 And yes... she still gets the occasional burst of zoomies where her long legs seem to have a mind of their own. Watching Whippy bounce around the yard is guaranteed to make you smile.

Whippy absolutely adores other dogs and would happily share her home with another friendly, desexed dog. She enjoys having a companion to play with and relax alongside.

She could also be perfectly happy as an only dog with a family who will include her in daily life and enjoy spending time with her.

Although she's still a young girl, Whippy has such a sensible nature. She's incredibly mature for her age and takes new experiences in her stride. She's eager to please, easy to handle and has all the makings of an exceptional companion.

Like any young dog, she'll continue learning as she settles into her new home, but she's already shown us just how lovely she is. Tested with a young pound cat and with slow intros and supervised time with felines she may be okay to live with feline friends too! 🐱
