I Wish That I Had Jessie's Girl!

Meet Jessie, a sweet little Chihuahua who is looking for a patient and understanding home to help her continue building her confidence. Jessie can be scared, timid and flighty when she first meets new people, but beneath her nervous exterior is a little dog who genuinely wants to connect. She gains a lot of confidence from the presence of other dogs and would need to be adopted to a home that already has a dog to help show her the ropes.

While Jessie may be reserved initially, she warms up surprisingly quickly once she feels safe. After a few positive interactions, she will stop barking at familiar people and begin approaching them. Give her a day or two to settle in and you'll discover a loving little lap dog who enjoys being close to her trusted humans.

Jessie is comfortable being picked up and handled and is happy to be carried when needed. She will walk on lead, although she still needs practice and confidence-building with leash walking. She is not yet fully house trained and will benefit from continued guidance, routine and positive reinforcement as she adjusts to life in a home environment.

Jessie isn't a big eater and tends to eat better overnight once she feels relaxed and secure. She will thrive with a patient adopter who is willing to continue her confidence-building and general socialisation.
