Hi there, I’m Pumpkin, a whirl of warm ears and a hopeful heart - hope that soon I'll find a family to call my own, forever. I’m young, but I carry a calm, hopeful energy that makes even quiet moments feel like a small celebration. I’ve been lucky enough to go to foster care & enjoy the experience of sharing a home with another dog, and I’d welcome that companionship again, with the right pace and guidance. I’m happy to go on a gentle walk, pause for a nap in the shade, then wake with a wag to explore a new scent, but I still have all that happy, playful, puppy energy at times and bring my foster family lots of joy with my daily zoomies. I love daily chances to learn about life—new doors opening, patient moments, and the simple joy of discovering something new with a steady friend by my side. I’m adaptable, steady, and generally well adjusted. I’d do best in a home that already has another dog for companionship, because sharing life with another dog helps me feel settled and curious - if you don't have another dog, that's not completely a deal breaker, but I would need you home more often than not (maybe someone retired, or working from home?) A patient, observant family who understands that we need time, space, and routines to get to know each other would be perfect. I’ve shown no known issues with children, so a family with kids could be a good match, provided there’s gentle guidance and steady boundaries.
