Bernie is a gorgeous boy with a gentle soul and so much love to give.
He can be a little shy when meeting new people, but it doesn't take a huge amount of time for him to settle in. With a little patience (and a few tasty treats!), you'll quickly earn his trust and see his affectionate personality shine.
Once he's comfortable, Bernie loves rubbing against your legs to say hello and will happily curl up beside you for chin scratches and gentle belly rubs. He's a quiet, sweet companion who simply enjoys being close to his people.
Bernie is also very cat social and loves spending time with his feline friends, whether it's playing, wrestling, or just relaxing together. He has been around small and medium-sized dogs and has taken them in his stride.
Bernie would be best suited to an adult-only home, where he can settle in at his own pace and build a strong bond with his new family in a calm environment.
Bernie is the kind of cat who just needs someone willing to give him a little time to feel safe. Adoption details
If you would like to express interest in adopting, we ask that you send through some info about yourself, your family and home, if you rent or own (rental agreement required if renting and rates notice required if you own) and what you can offer this gorgeous baby. Our aim is to find the best homes for our babies, not necessarily first in best dressed, so a good detailed application will make you stand out from the rest.
Once we have received your email outlining the above, those who we feel may be suitable, will be sent an Adoption Questionnaire to complete. Your enquiry will then be passed onto the appropriate carer and successful applicants will be contacted via phone.
